Seven things we believe
about software, India,
and the next decade.

These are not goals. They are commitments we've already made, to each other, to our customers, to anyone who joins. We update them in public when we change our mind. We haven't yet.

India-first. Not India-included.

We don't localise from a Western default. We build from the Indian default outward. Every figure prints in lakhs. Every reminder lands on WhatsApp before it touches email. Every tax field maps to the actual IT Act, not an abstraction of it. If a product needs four engineers in Bengaluru to add ₹ formatting after the fact, it was the wrong product.

AI from day zero. Not bolted on.

Most software with 'AI' in the copy is the same product as last year with a chat box. We don't ship chat boxes. We ship products where the assistant is the spine, products that read, classify, reconcile, draft, and follow up while the user looks away. The bar is: take AI out and the product collapses, not gets less shiny.

The boring work. Done quietly.

The chase. The receipt. The reminder. The reconciliation. The form 16. The Schedule HP. The supplier follow-up. These are the rooms of work where Indian SMB owners lose their evenings, and where the best software is the software you forget exists. Quietness is a feature.

Small team. Fast ships. Real users.

Two of us, one room in Noida. We talk to one real user every day; and not just the two of us. Our families, the people who help us at home, even our furry friend get pulled into the conversation. Every week we ship something a real user can use the next week. We will grow the team only when growing is the bottleneck, and not a day before.

Numbers in lakhs. Forms in the actual law.

₹ 1,84,000 not $2,200. Lease defaults to eleven months. Stamp duty calculated by state. TDS thresholds tracked against Section 194-IB. Schedule HP filled with the same fields the CA sees in Form ITR-2. This is not flavour. This is correctness.

Honest pricing. In rupees an SMB owner can sign off.

₹1,200 a year, not $99 a month. No hidden seats. No usage meters that surprise you in February. If a tier has a cap, it's printed on the card. If a feature is coming later, the page says coming-later. The Indian SMB owner has been burned enough by clever pricing to recognise it from across the room.

A ten-year company. Quarterly bets.

We made our peace with patience. Compounding a small useful product, shipped to real users, for ten years, will outpace any blitz we could run. We bet quarterly on what to build, but we run on a decade clock. The companies we admire (Razorpay's first five years, Zoho's first ten) were not built by people sprinting toward an exit.
