About

A small lab. A long horizon. India in mind.

We started Cedr in May 2026 because we kept watching software miss the people it claimed to serve. This page is the longer version.

India runs on people who run things on the side.

The engineer in Andheri who owns four flats. The product manager in Gurugram whose mother left her a 2BHK in Sector 56. The Hyderabad family whose 12 properties are still on paper. The kirana owner who calculates margins in his head and writes them down at the end of the day. The CA in Borivali whose busiest week is the third week of March.

They are not the audience English-first software was built for. They don't have a procurement process. They don't sit through demos. They open an app once, decide whether it gets them or not, and move on.

We started Cedr because the gap between "AI will change everything" and "anything has actually changed for this person" is still absurd. It's the gap we want to spend the next ten years closing.

We are two people sitting in one room in Sector 137, Noida. We don't have a sales team. We don't have a press release. We have a product, many ideas (open to more), a manifesto, and a stubborn opinion about how the second decade of AI gets built: slowly, locally, in service of the people who actually run things.

Our first product is RentCare, the property manager for the Indian landlord. We picked it because the workflow is small enough to ship in months, the user is concrete enough to argue about over chai, and the problem is bad enough that everyone we've spoken to has a war story.

We are building two more products in parallel: one in health, one in enterprise. We talk about them when they're ready, not before.

We are not the next big thing.
We are the small useful thing, done well,
and then again, and then again.

How we work

Operating principles, not slogans.

01 ─

Small team. Fast ships.

Two of us. One room in Noida. No managers. We ship something to production every week. The team will grow when growing is the bottleneck. Not before.

02 ─

Talk to one real user a day.

Every day. Not just the two of us: our families, the people who help us at home, even our furry friend get pulled into the conversation. Not a survey, not a focus group. A real talk, in their kitchen if needed.

03 ─

Build in public, charge in private.

Our manifesto is online. Our pricing is one click away. Our roadmap is honest about what's shipping and what isn't. What we charge is the conversation between us and the customer.

04 ─

Ten-year company. Quarterly bets.

We made our peace with patience. The compounding of a small useful product, shipped to real users, for ten years, will outpace any sprint we could run.

The structure

The boring facts.
